There will be no Club DH round on the above date.
This day will now be a BUILD DAY!

“If you're keen to ride or race there, get out with your shovel & get involved. The sooner we get repairs made, the sooner we can re-open the track for riding!”

This coming Sunday 3rd June we will endeavor to repair the( Chute ) area which is one of the areas that copped a hiding over recent times due to the extremely wet conditions.
Meeting in the Car Park at 7.30am it would be great if people could bring wheelbarrows as well as the usual tools to transport some blocks into the area we will be working on.

True to form this year the rain has returned to Awaba this Weekend to spoil our plans for some much needed maintenance.
So todays build day is off but we might reschedule for the June Long Weekend ( next Weekend ) if there is enough interest.

2012 AUSTRALIAN MOUNTAIN BIKE MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS

If you are worried it’s going to be too cold for the beach and the snow won’t be good enough, head to Canberra for the Queen’s Birthday Weekend and relish your chance to compete in the 2012 Australian MTB Marathon Championships.

The Marathon Champs will be hosted by Canberra Off Road Cyclists (CORC) on Sunday June 10th at Stromlo Forest Park in the ACT.

Come for 1 or 2 tracks. We are hitting the famous trails and Ourimbah & Awaba. Dont miss your opportunity to ride all 2 with some of the best MTB territory you will find anywhere.

Date - Saturday 16th June 2012
Time - 7am start at Ourimbah (Meet at Thornleigh Macca's ready for a 5.50am Departure)

After 2 track inspections today the conditions were still very acceptable at 4pm with virtually no rain recorded at Awaba all day.
At this point we will proceed tomorrow as per usual, but a call to cancel may come after a further inspection by myself before 6.30am in the morning.
We apologise for this arrangement but with the weather conditions so unpredictable, the track is teetering with any rain events.
The course to be used will be about 6km/ lap with A Grade hopefully completing 5 laps.

No rain last night, slight breeze (drying) and radar clear, all systems go!

At this stage the DH round tomorrow is still on.

AS with XC After track insection, The Finial call will be made at 6.30am in morning so please keep an Eye on HMBA ,web page FB and this tread.
