Sunday August 18th with the rain through the week, as the Awaba local mtb downhiller’s know Monkey is at her best after some moisture. In the riders own words “Conditions were Prime” So with prime conditions, bikes were loaded for a few hours of practice before timed runs at 12.30.
12.30 riders made there way to the start for the first of two runs. The best of the two run times, the fastest time being their result for the day’s event.
After two runs Congrates to fastest time put down the 2km black diamond Awaba DH trail “Monkey”
Troy Weinert – 3:45.085 – A Grade,
followed by Under 17’s pinner Harper Nelmes – 3:50.710
Then in his own words “Juniored by Harper” Regan Arthur – 3:54.124
Our Fastest women Katarina Carisson – 4:29.992
Some fast times breaking the 4 minutes today. Well Done to all the riders Conquering the Monkey!
